Do You Qualify For An Internet Business From Home?

Everyone is talking about it and even giving it a try. You have heard numerous success stories about people earning so much money in the comfort of their own homes. You are almost tempted to leave your own job and start a home business venture yourself, but you are not quite sure you have got what it takes.

The thing is, a business from home is not for everyone. Many succeed in it, but there many more (95%) who fail. They either ventured into a home-based business too quickly and very unprepared, or they just didn't find the honest and sincere mentor needed these days to succeed. In the end, the promise of the rewards of a business from home was nowhere in sight.

Do not make the same mistake. Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to find out if you have got what it takes to start a business from home.

Do you think you can really mind your own business?

Once you start your own business from home, you will be literally minding your own business, and you will probably be working alone, which means there will be no more lively discussion with office mates around the water cooler, and no more chatting about the TV shows last night, over lunch. If you are the kind of person who relishes and thrives in such kinds of peer interaction; chances are, you will find that working at your own home-based business might be quite a challenge.

Of course, you can also think of it this way: with a home-based business, you are trading in office interaction for family interaction. If you would rather spend time with your kids and your spouse rather than a co-worker, then a business from home might just be for you. You must be careful and disciplined to know when it is time to play and when it is time to work. Your business from home does not run itself.

Do you need someone else to motivate you to reach your goals?

Do you find yourself playing the role of follower instead of leader and are you quite happy with such a situation? If so, you might not be cut out to start a home-based business of your own. Being your own boss means you are going to have to motivate yourself to reach your goals, and if you are more comfortable and efficient taking orders from someone else than doing the ordering around yourself, it might be best to keep your day job.

Are you happy and content with your current job?

As the saying goes, if it is not broke, do not try to fix it. If your current job is capable of paying the bills and allows you enough time for yourself and your family, then there is probably no need for you to start out from scratch and starting a home-based business of your own.

In the end, only you can tell if you have got what it takes to start a business from home.

Before you can be successful with an internet business from home, you must possess 3 distinct charachteristics which must come from deep within you and drive you to succeed!

First, you must have an ABSOLUTE DESIRE to make a change.

Your desire will be driven by something within you for something you absolutely WANT and CAN'T have. What is that burning desire within you? Is it a new car, a new house, every toy imaginable? MOST of the time, People want more time to spend with their family! More time to watch their kids grow up "LIVE" and not on video. Why MUST you have that successful business from home? What is it you MUST HAVE right now?

For me, I was to the point where I hated to see Sunday nights roll around. I was a truck driver and truck drivers are cheated out of more time with family than any other profession, except our brave soldiers around the world (God Bless our great military)! I knew Sunday night meant I would be leaving my family and not see them again until Friday night. I was luckier than most truckers because I had advanced to a position which I was able to be home every weekend. But that took 2 long years of only seeing my loved ones 1 weekend every 2 or 3 weeks! That was my ABSOLUTE DESIRE, it was my goal to have a successful internet business from home so I didn't have to leave them every Sunday night.



Next, FAITH is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.

You must have FAITH that it's very possible for you to have a successful business from home and make a good living to satisfy your own ABSOLUTE DESIRES. Robert Collier said, "Your chances of success in any undertaking can always be measured by your belief in yourself."

First, I had to have faith in myself. I had to believe and realize there were a lot of people already making a great income with an intenet business from home. I knew it was up to me to find the secret that was making people successful online. I had to find a reliable, legitimate sytem that worked and a mentor who is successful and is willing to share secrets.

It was plain to see that there are many successful people making a great living with an internet bussiness from home. There are many people quitting their day J-O-B every day. All you have to do is go online and checkout all the success stories and testimonials of ORDINARY PEOPLE just like you and me, making a good living with their internet businesses. Bookstore shelves are filled with success stories about people making a lot of money with internet businesses from home.

It is becoming more and more evident every day people are finding how easy it is to make money with an internet business from home. Affiliate marketing is probably one of the simplest ways to make money from home. It used to be, you had to seek out a company, fill out an application and hope that you would be the chosen one over dozens of other applicants. Now all you have to do is go online, pick the companies you want to work for, fill out a short affiliate application and within minutes, you have all the products and websites you need to start making money online. Now the hard part...COMMITMENT!
