You need to take a little time and investigate to find the legitimate ones. If you don't have any knowledge of how they work or have not ever done paid surveys, then you might be a little overwhelmed at first. Take the time to read the Q & A Sections as well as the Terms and Conditions for answers to most of your questions. If your questions do not get answered, send them an email. The legitimate companies will respond with an answer. Everyone likes the concept of earning extra money from the internet and paid surveys have made it very easy to do so from the comfort of your home. There are a couple of different types of surveys out there. There are the free memberships and paid memberships. You can sign up for the free ones and get paid .50 cents or even a $1.00 for taking their surveys. They will even give you $5 just to sign up and claim that you can make hundreds of dollars every day. Now, I will be the first one to publicly come back here and write an apology if anyone can prove to me that they are making hundreds of dollars every day taking surveys from a free site. My experience has been this (and maybe it is just me)!: You sign up and they send you a survey. You take the time to answer the profile questions (5 - 10 min). Now you start answering the qualifying questions, then two or three questions down the line, boom...Sorry, you don't qualify for this survey at this time. Now let this happen to you nine times in a row, like it did to me, and you have wasted an entire hour. Then, oh my goodness, on the tenth one you DO qualify and when you finish 40 minutes later, you have just made a whopping $1.00 for the last hour and 40 minutes. Please don't let them try to insult your intelligence. I recommend you pay the one time membership fee (anywhere from $29.95 to $49.95) and take surveys that WILL pay good money and earn you an income. You can easily make your membership fee back, the very first day. Now let's look at some of the pros and cons of online paid surveys. The pros: You can create a good supplemental income to your full-time job just by working on the computer a couple hours each day. Every survey that you take and complete, will pay anywhere between $5 and $75 per survey. You are not limited to only one survey and these surveys are easy to do. You can take the surveys at your own pace. The more surveys you do, of course, the more money you make. If you go long periods of time not responding to surveys, they may note you in their data base and by-pass you in the future. You may also want to avoid picking and choosing surveys too often. You are not tied to any contract and have no obligation to complete the surveys that are sent to you. If you don't want to take surveys, then don't! But remember, they probably like dependable people and may note you in that data base. I would highly recommend that you consider taking every survey if you can. Why not? It is just a chance to make more money. Many of the legitimate companies have a 30 to 90 day money back guarantee even if you decide that taking surveys is not for you. The cons: Sometimes you will be offered gifts instead of cash. I personally would not have a problem with this if it is a gift card from a major company like WalMart where I spend cash anyway. Just make sure you read the Terms and Conditions if you want to avoid any companies with this policy. Most paid survey companies only offer residents of the United States or Canada the opportunity to make money taking surveys. There are a few companies who do offer the opportunity to other countries, but it may be challenging to find them and then receive enough surveys to make enough money to compensate you for your time and efforts. Overall, paid surveys are a great way to supplement your income. Whether you are a stay at home mom or dad, or one who works full time, you will be able to earn some extra money to ease your financial stress! It is a known fact that the majority of the people that undertake a business from home do not achieve real success. There are several reasons for this, but one of the primary reasons is that these people get frustrated and do not allow themselves enough time to succeed. In the early going, one of the most difficult things about developing a new business from home is dealing with the emotional roller coaster that can result from the highs and lows that you will experience. Once you have thoroughly researched your particular business from home opportunity, you really need to be focused on persistence and realize that any real business opportunity will not just automatically become successful in a matter of days or weeks. You should be prepared to give it your best sustained effort for at least 6 to 12 months before you see any substantial progress and begin to see some good income. When working at home a person can, at times, experience a feeling of isolation which is probably brought on by the lack of interaction and gossip at the water cooler in a work force environment. There can also be periods of doubt in the early going. Gee, did I pick the right business opportunity? Am I doing the right things to develop my business? When will I start making a profit?, and on and on and on. You should realize that you have to send money ahead if you are going to be financially secure later in life. In other words, you are going to have to invest money into your business if you want to reach your dream. Highs and lows is something that I encountered a great deal when I first started my Christian business from home. I was one of those who expected results in just a couple weeks or months. The first thing she told me was to realize that my feelings and frustrations were normal. She told me to stay focused and not to give up for it may take up to a year to see any satisfying results. If you have chosen a viable home business opportunity (one that has been around for awhile and in which some other people are having success) you will achieve success, but it takes time and there will be ups and downs along the way. Remember - When you make a definite decision, act upon it immediately. Do not hesitate. You will never get to second base with one foot still on first. To have success...you need a dream..." - Raja AkhtarMAKE YOUR DREAM LISTTake the time to dream about what you "want to be", what you "want to do", and what you "want to have." Make yourself a dream list and break it down into those 3 categories: (1) Everything I Want To Be, (2) Everything I Want To Do, and (3) Everything I Want To Have. Now write down your dreams no matter how far-fetched they may seem. Don't just say, "I want to have a successful Christian business from home"; envision what you want, like "I want to have a successful Christian business from home making $2000 a day only working 3 hours in the morning". If your desire is to have an expensive car, describe that car right down to the color of the floor mats. CAN YOUR DREAMS BECOME GOALSSometimes a dream is nothing more than just a dream. Maybe it is not as important to you today like it used to be and maybe it will become more important in the future. The simple fact is, if it is not a target, it's just a dream; and until it becomes a goal, why waste your time on it? Now, test each dream you listed to see if it can become a goal. Ask the following questions of each dream and write "yes" beside the dreams if one or more of these questions apply: "Will my dream...(1) Make me more secure? (2) Make me healthy? (3) Make me happy? (4) Give me peace of mind? (5) Give me hope? (6) Make me prosperous? (7) Improve my family and friend relationships? (8) Improve my self-image? If the answer isn't "yes" to at least one of these questions, you should cross that dream off your list. TURN YOUR DREAMS INTO GOALSReview all the dreams you put "yes" beside and decide on the goals you would like to work on right now. Identify them by putting a "check mark" beside each one. Now think in terms of 3 categories: Short Term, Intermediate Term, and Long Term. Pick 4 goals and put them on the "Short Term" list that you want to accomplish (in a month or less). Then put 5 goals on the "Intermediate" list to accomplish (in 4 to 52 weeks). Finally put the rest on the "Long Term" list that would be for (a year or more from now). Now prioritize each of the lists. STEPS TO SUCCESSFUL GOAL SETTING
"Describe Your Goals In Writing" - Make the goal visible and own it. "Think Big" - When you think about your goal, don't hold back. Visualize it as larger than life. "Set Realistic Goals" - Be reasonable, as most people set themselves up for disappointment by thinking TOO big and want everything "now" when in fact worthwhile things take time to achieve. "Make Your Goal Personal" - Dream and imagine yourself in your goal and think of how the achievement will change your life. Imagine you are making $25,000 per month from your Christian business from home only working three hours, four days per week. "State Goals In The Present Tense" - There is no such thing as future time in your mind, because your mind can't tell time. Act as if you've already reached your goal. "Identify Goals That Challenge You" - Don't make your goals so easy to attain as your mind will get bored. "Reward Yourself" - When you achieve a goal, celebrate and reward yourself. "Make Goals, Not Excuses" - No matter what you feel is getting in your way, don't give up. Just do it! "Remember The Reason For Your Goal" - What is the WHY? behind your goal? The WHY? is the ultimate drive for the dreamer to achieve the goal. MONITORING THE GOAL SETTING PROCESS
Implement your process by owning it. Write down each goal on a separate piece of paper and monitor it. Here are some suggested categories to monitor: AREA OF LIFE YOUR GOAL REPRESENTS TODAY'S DATE FINAL DATE YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL DATE YOU ACHIEVED YOUR GOAL WHAT IS MY GOAL BENEFITS TO ACHIEVE MY GOAL LOSSES TO AVOID POSSIBLE OBSTACLES YOU WILL ENCOUNTER POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THOSE OBSTACLES SPECIFIC ACTION STEPS TO ACHIEVE GOAL HOW WILL I TRACK MY PROGRESS IS IT WORTH MY TIME FOR ALL THIS EFFORT? AFFIRMATIONS FOR THIS GOAL GOAL SETTING IS MY DAILY RESPONSIBILITYLIFE IS A CAFETERIAA friend's grandfather came to America from Europe and, after being processed at Ellis Island, went into a cafeteria in New York to get something to eat. Do you feel you may have to get a second job, but you do not want it to take away from your life and your family and friends? Have you thought about maybe trying to make money starting a business from home, but keep asking yourself, can I really make any money online? The answer: not hard at all. There are several businesses from home on the internet that can make you money online, however, be careful not to get caught up in any scams. Make sure you do plenty of research on whatever method you choose to make money online! For many years, I always had that dream to make some extra spending money by starting my own Christian business from home. I have always wanted to stay at home and be my own boss. I hated getting up in the morning to commute anywheres from 20 to 75 miles just to take orders from someone else. I think I have tried every MLMs out there. If I only had half the money back that I have spent on MLMs and all those other $27, $39 scams, I could have a healthier investment in my current business from home. If only I would have done the research beforehand, I would have known that most of them were scams. I can hear you now, "Is it that hard to make money online legitimately?" Do not get me wrong, there are many honest and legitimate businesses from home to make money online easily, however there are a few scams out there as well. I do not want to scare you from doing this in any way; I have since gone on to making money online easily, legitimately, and have made money in a short period of time. Can you make money at a business from home and not get caught up in scams? Yes you can, it is not difficult to decipher between the legitimate money making programs and the scams. The key is to do thorough research. When you research whatever business from home interests you, there is no such thing as too much research. Make sure you read any and all reviews on that particular business from home, and read the small print as well as check them out with the Better Business Bureau. Not only will the reviews give you an indicator as to whether or not the business from home is legitimate, but you may learn from others who are familiar with that home business, and you may be able to save yourself a lot of time and money! A legitimate company offering a business from home should have an email address. If you have any questions, email them. If you get an auto-responder reply, be a little leery. You should be able to have a real person send you an email back. It may take a day or two, but if they are honest and legitimate, you will get a real live person to reply! Also, if they require a large sum of money up front to start a business from home, turn and run because that is also a pretty good indicator that it is a scam. Now, instead of asking yourself, can I make money starting a business from home, start asking yourself when am I going to start! Remember, there are many legitimate businesses from home to make money online, and you can definitely find one that fits you and you will be successful in making some extra money. Remember to research any potential businesses from home that you are interested in and be aware of scams, and you will end up being more successful!
